Top 10 Prospects for the 2015 NHL Entry Draft

Connor McDavid – C

McDavid was granted Exceptional Player Status by Hockey Canada and was eligible for the 2012 OHL Priority Selection as a 15 year old. The Erie Otters used their first overall pick to select McDavid.

Nathan Noel – F

The St. John’s Newfoundland native had 102 points in 51 games for Shattuck St. Mary’s in 2011-12.

Matthew Barzal – C

Barzal was selected 1st overall in the 2012 WHL Bantam Draft by the Seattle Thunderbirds.

Luc Deschêsnes – D

Deschênes played in the Canadian Winter Games as a 13 year old against 15 year olds and is expected to be a top pick in the 2013 QMJHL Draft.

Adam Musil – C

Musil is the son of former NHL Frantisek Musil and was selected 6th overall in the 2012 WHL Bantam Draft by the Red Deer Rebels. He scored 58 goals in 60 games for Burnaby in 2011-12.

Aleksi Saarela – C

Saarela scored 33 goals and finished with 72 points in 2011-12 for Lukko U16 in the Jr. C SM-sarja league. He added 29 points including 14 goals in 9 playoff games. He will be playing with Lukko U18 in the Jr. B league for the 2012-13 season.

Aaron Kellogg – D

Kellogg was a late pick by the Brandon Wheat Kings in the 2012 WHL Bantam Draft but his stock keeps on rising.

Andrew Picco – D

Another Newfoundland native playing for Shattuck St. Mary’s, Picco registered 37 points in 50 games in 2011-12. At 15 years old he is already 6’2” and 194 lbs.

Jeremy Roy – D

Currently playing for Collège Antoine-Girouard Gaulois, Roy is one of the top prospects for the 2013 QMJHL Draft.

Nikita Korostelev – F

Korostelev has already made is way to North America and will be playing for the Toronto Jr. Canadians for the 2012-13 season and is eligible for the 2013 OHL Priority Selection.
